What the material on this website is, what it is not, and what to do before acting on it.

Published commentary, not advice

Everything published on this website — regulatory and implementation updates, editions of The Real-Time Tax Briefing, service descriptions, frameworks and any other written or visual material — is general commentary, published for information.

It is not tax advice, legal advice, accounting advice or any other regulated professional advice, and it should not be relied on as though it were. It reflects our reading of published material at the time of writing, and it represents the position of no regulatory authority, professional body or government agency.

Reading this site creates no engagement

Reading this website, subscribing to the Briefing, using the readiness status check or submitting an enquiry creates no advisory relationship, consultancy engagement or professional relationship of any kind.

An engagement with Contiqa Systems begins when it is agreed in writing, with a defined scope. Until then, what you read here is published material available to everyone.

What the tools tell you

The readiness status check reports the dates that published legislation sets for the phase your answers indicate, together with general observations. It runs in your browser, retains nothing, and is not an assessment of your organisation.

The PINT-AE Invoice Validator checks a file against a technical specification and reports which rules it satisfies. A file that passes is a file that satisfies those rules; it is not a statement that an organisation meets its obligations.

Neither output is an audit, an assurance opinion or a compliance certification, and neither should be presented to a tax authority or a counterparty as if it were.

Currency and jurisdiction

Tax legislation, ministerial decisions, technical specifications, administrative practice and judicial interpretation change often, and they differ by jurisdiction, entity type, transaction structure and circumstance.

Content on this website refers to law and practice in specific jurisdictions — principally the United Arab Emirates, with reference to other GCC and European regimes — and it carries the date on which it was written or last reviewed. Material correct on that date may have moved by the time you read it. Every regulatory item here cites its official source, and that source governs.

Readers outside the jurisdictions discussed should not assume this content reaches their own obligations.

Take independent advice

Before acting on anything you read here, obtain independent professional advice from an adviser qualified in the relevant jurisdiction, on your own facts and objectives. That applies to every reader, however experienced.

Third-party material

This website cites and links to legislation, official publications, analysis published elsewhere and third-party websites. Those references are a convenience. We make no representation about their accuracy, completeness or currency, and we take no responsibility for them.

No liability

To the fullest extent the law permits, Contiqa For Tax Consultancies L.L.C S.O.C and its affiliates carry no liability for any loss, damage, cost, penalty or interest arising from:

  • Reliance placed on anything published on this website;
  • Any action taken, or not taken, on the basis of content found here;
